Today is National Agriculture Day. Illinois is made up of roughly 75 percent farmland, and is one of the nation’s leading producers of soybeans, corn, and other similar commodities. Like many districts in the state, agriculture is a major component of the 117th District’s economy.
I want to extend a special thank you to all farmers and agriculture workers for the important work they do to keep Illinois, the nation and the world fed. I am honored to represent the hard working families that contribute to the state’s robust agricultural economy.
