Severin Directs Constituents to Updated COVID-19 Web Sources and Hotline

BENTON – State Rep. Dave Severin (R-Benton) is pointing constituents of the 117th district to new online resources and a COVID-19 hotline administered by the Illinois Department of Public Health in order to share as much up to date information as possible during the coronavirus crisis.

“Our staff has been working hard to keep the citizens of Illinois informed as far as the latest guidance and information on the COVID-19 outbreak,” Severin said. “I hope while folks are sheltering at home, practicing social distancing, and wondering what kind of resources there are available that they will take advantage of the online resources and the hotline number if it is needed. We all must do our part to stay well, to avoid transmitting sickness to others, and to be as informed on the latest developments as possible. We are all in this together and we will get through this together.”

Severin is encouraging all constituents to heed warnings, remain at home unless travel is necessary, and to visit www.ilcovid19info.com or coronavirus.illinois.gov. For more information, a coronavirus hotline has been established: COVID-19 Hotline 1-800-889-3931.

At his daily press briefing today, Governor JB Pritzker announced that essential services will remain available. The Governor reconfirmed that grocery stores, pharmacies and gas stations will remain open throughout the pandemic. Residents will always have access to essential items.

Additionally, a growing coalition of grocery stores will set aside time for older residents to shop, before stores open to the general public.
118th district constituents may also reach out directly to Rep. Severin’s office for remote service at 618-440-5090 or email Rep. Severin at Severin@ILHouseGOP.org.
