MARION – State Representative Dave Severin (R-Benton) is pleased with the release of more than $1 million in grant funding from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity to the city of Marion for the purpose of rehabilitating the Tower Square building.
“I am proud to have partnered with the city of Marion to secure more than $1 million for renovating and rehabilitating the blighted property at Marion’s Tower Square. I supported the Illinois Rebuild Capital program where these dollars are coming from, and worked hard to secure them for the betterment and beautification of downtown Marion.”
The Illinois DCEO announced the release of the funding at the end of February.
