BENTON – State Rep. Dave Severin (R-Benton) says he’s counting a ruling last week by a Sangamon County Judge placing a temporary restraining order on Governor Pritzker’s vaccine, testing, mask and quarantine mandates for schools a victory for students.
“Our school children, teachers, and school officials have dealt with heavy handed COVID-19 mandates for far too long. I am thrilled that a Judge has found the mandates to be outside of the governor’s powers. I believe the court’s temporary restraining order is the right ruling, and I hope the governor will follow the lead of many other states, lift his many mandates, and drop his bid to appeal the ruling.”
