BENTON – State Rep. Dave Severin is reminding his constituents that today is International Bacon Day! Rep. Severin says whether you like your bacon soft, crispy or even a little bit burnt, to remember that the Illinois Pork production industry supports more than 50,000 jobs statewide and contributes billions to Illinois’ economy.
“I want to say thank you to all Illinois pork producers on International Bacon Day,” Severin said. “As a state, we rely heavily on the pork production industry for jobs, economic development, and for the wonderful fact that they help put bacon on our plates. Thank you pork farmers and pork producers for all that you do!”
