Springfield, IL….State Rep. Dave Severin (R-Benton) welcomed the 8th-grade class from Ewing Grade School to Springfield during 3rd reading deadline week in the Illinois House of Representatives. The annual trip for Ewing grade school included a tour of the capitol and recognition by Rep. Severin on the floor of the Illinois House.
“It is always great to welcome students to the capitol, especially while we are in Session so the students can get an idea of what we do in the House. I am proud to represent the Ewing Grade School students and their teachers and mentors who organized a special trip to Springfield. Hopefully, the kids made a lifetime of memories. I sure enjoyed having them as my guests!”
