SPRINGFIELD – State Representative Dave Severin (R-Benton) welcomed Benton High School Graduate Parker Johnson to the Illinois House to serve as a Page for a Day on the final scheduled week of the spring legislative Session.
Parker is the son of Benji and Dawn Johnson. Parker is a junior at Benton High School. He is involved in scholar bowl, plays in the jazz band, and runs cross country. Parker will also be serving as the upcoming Governor of the YMCA’s Youth and Government program.
“I was thrilled to welcome Parker to the House floor to serve as my Page for a Day,” Rep. Severin said. “Parker got a taste of what goes on during Session, met several representatives, and met Governor Pritzker as well. Thank you Parker, and best wishes on continued success in your future!”
