Severin Honors Ag in the Classroom Administrator of the Year Jennifer Arnold

SPRINGFIELD, IL – State Representative Dave Severin (R-Benton) rose on the Illinois House Floor during day one of the Lame Duck Session to honor Jennifer Arnold, Superintendent of Field School in rural Jefferson County, on the occasion of her receiving the award of Agriculture in the Classroom Administrator of the Year.

Severin presented House Resolution 966, which passed unanimously, to honor Arnold’s achievement. A video of Rep. Severin’s presentation can be seen below.

The Resolution reads as follows:

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Field Grade School
Superintendent Jennifer Arnold on the occasion of her receiving the 2025 Illinois Agriculture in the Classroom Administrator award; and

WHEREAS, Jennifer Arnold was recognized for her contributions to the new Illinois Agriculture in the Classroom Awesome Agriculture series and for attending workshops focused on integrating agriculture across curriculum; and

WHEREAS, Jennifer Arnold spent her early life hearing stories about the importance of agriculture through her grandparents’ experiences, and then, early in her teaching career, she worked to incorporate agriculture in the classroom; and

WHEREAS, Jennifer Arnold encourages the teaching staff of Field Grade School to utilize agriculture lessons in the classroom; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Field Grade School Superintendent Jennifer Arnold on receiving the 2025 Illinois Agriculture in the Classroom Administrator award; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Jennifer Arnold as an expression of our esteem and respect.
