SPRINGFIELD, IL – State Representative Dave Severin (R-Benton) joined a Capitol rally in Springfield in support of the pro-life agenda on Tuesday. Thousands of pro-life Illinoisans descended on the Capitol to express passionate support for protecting the sanctity of life. Rep. Severin, who has sponsored dozens of pro-life driven bills since taking office, says Illinois has lurched to the left on abortion policy in recent years.
“We need to restore the pro-life agenda to protect the sanctity of human life in Illinois. I have backed that statement up with my record of sponsoring pro-life bills and amassing a 100% pro-life voting record,” Severin said. “The state of Illinois allows for abortion on demand, at any time of pregnancy, and makes taxpayers pay for these procedures. I think that is wrong. I stand for life. I always have, and I always will. I want to thank the thousands of people who came to Springfield today to rally in support of the pro-life agenda.”
