BENTON – State Rep. Dave Severin is thanking first responders, members of the military, firefighters, EMS workers, Emergency Management Agencies, and Rubenacker Farms of rural Dahlgren for their participation in a Mutual Aid Box Alarm System (MABAS) emergency and disaster preparedness drill held over the weekend.
“I want to thank the dozens of agencies, first responders, and volunteers that worked to develop and implement disaster and emergency preparedness training. These are the folks that run toward danger and risk their lives every day in the face of incredibly difficult emergency circumstances,” Severin said. “The show of force encourages me that southern Illinois as a region is well prepared to respond if and when disaster strikes. Thank you to you the Rubenacker family and Rubenacker Farms for hosting the drill on their farm.”
