BENTON – State Rep. Dave Severin is urging motorists to SLOW DOWN and observe all posted speed limits on this Speed Awareness Day 2023.
In 2021, speed was a contributing factor in 29% of all traffic fatalities, killing 12,330 people. When you choose to speed you are not only endangering your own life, but the lives of others.
Let’s keep Illinois roadways safe for all by following posted speed limits, paying attention to road conditions, and allowing ample time to reach our destinations this Speed Awareness Day.
