As your 116^th district State Representative, I want to invite you to participate in my 2026 Read All About It – America 250 Summer Reading Club. Students who read EIGHT books this summer will receive an official Illinois House of Representatives Certificate of Recognition and an invitation to a pool party at the Mt. Vernon Aquatic Zoo on Sunday, August 9, 2026, from 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM. Informational brochures will be available. Details will follow!

Rep. Severin’s 2026 Read All About It – America 250 Summer Reading Club Rules!

Representative Dave Severin’s 2026 Read All About It – America 250 Summer Reading Club challenges 1^st through 4^th graders to read 8 books during summer break. Books for local library programs are also acceptable, and books over 150 pages may count as 2 books.
Once a student completes the book reading, please fill out the form and have a parent or guardian verify that the books were read.
Completed forms should be sent to State Representative Dave Severin – 805 N. Main Street – Benton, IL 62812 or scanned and emailed to [email protected]
